Family Owned Wedding Venue in Minneapolis:

White & Sable from the Sister’s Perspective

When owners, Landon and Ang first started dreaming up White & Sable as their wedding and event venue, I remember thinking, But they should do it in Montana (where Landon and I grew up). But as I've watched their vision come to life here in the Twin Cities, I’ve felt nothing but pride watching their family-owned wedding venue succeed as they celebrate couples and other milestones with W&S clients.

As Landon’s sister (turned assistant!), I’ve had the unique privilege of seeing this venue grow from ideas at “Sibs Night Out” into something truly meaningful. You guys, my parents are so proud. What they’ve created here isn’t just a beautiful space, though it absolutely is. It’s a place where couples start their forever, where families gather, where love is celebrated with intention and care. It’s a reflection of who Landon and Angela are: hard working, creative, faithful, and all-in when it comes to fulfilling a dream.

Last summer, I got to babysit their three boys while Landon and Angela celebrated their anniversary. We went on a little adventure: we bought cards, grabbed drinks at Caribou, and sat down to write messages. Cooper and Pax, the older two poured their little misspelled hearts out about how proud they were of their parents and all the hard work they’ve put into “the venue.” Riggins, the youngest, covered his card with solid crayon artistry and together we correctly learned to spell mom and dad.

Sitting there with them watching them reflect, in their own kid ways, on the legacy their parents are building, I was reminded just how special White & Sable really is. It’s not just a business. It’s a family’s offering. It’s late nights, bold prayers, spreadsheets, site plans, and a whole lot of grace. It’s three little boys watching their parents live out what it means to work hard and love people well. Scroll back on the W&S Instagram and you’ll see three little dudes living their very best life during construction.

About White & Sable Owners

White & Sable is a wedding venue rooted in deep values. Landon brings over a decade of experience as a wedding videographer (he’s seen what works and what doesn’t), and Angela is a corporate event planner who thrives on timelines, details, and celebrating people well. Together, they’ve designed a space that’s stunning and flexible, a true blank canvas for couples to make their own. It’s stunning from every angle; we’d love to show you around

Every part of White & Sable was created with intention. From the layout to the flow of events, to the way vendors can easily set up and guests can comfortably celebrate, nothing is by accident. This place is built with heart, and it shows.

Family Teamwork Makes the Event Dreams Work

While Landon and Angela are the brains behind the operation and their whole building team was incredible, we definitely need to give a shoutout to our brother Tanner. Landon is gifted with a camera and a visionary with creating, but I’ll just call a spade a spade: when something needs fixing, lifting, hauling, or hammering, I’m choosing Tanner 12 out of 10 times.

In those early days, when permits and plans were flying around and deadlines were coming in hot, Tanner was the guy sprinting between departments. There were some long days, last-minute runs, and problem-solving sessions that Tanner helped carry across the finish line.

I’ve mentioned this before, but your girl is not originally from the wedding industry. I’m a teacher, turned librarian, turned sister with fear of missing out of all the fun happening with White & Sable. Assisting them with administrative details has been the part-time gig I never knew I would love so much.

A little secret I’ll leave you for free: I’m already planning to throw our parents' 50th wedding anniversary rager here at White & Sable. It’s seven years away, and I still haven’t figured out how to get them (and all their lifelong Montana friends) to Minnesota without giving the whole thing away. But if anyone can pull off a surprise like that, it’s this team and this space. Stay tuned.

What Couples Love about our Family-Owned Venue

It’s not just our family that’s proud of what Landon and Angela have built; couples have felt the love, too. Here are just a few things past clients have shared about their experience:

“We cannot say enough good things about White & Sable and the incredible team behind this venue. From the moment we toured the space, we knew it was something special, and working with Angela and Landon only confirmed that. They were professional, responsive, and genuinely kind people. Their care and attention made the planning process feel easy and stress-free. Even though this is a newer venue, everything was so well organized that you’d never know it.”

-Rebecca

“Angela and Landon were wonderful to work with. Landon was always so cheerful and Angela’s responsiveness and their combined genuine care made a difference in our day.”

-Gretchen

“We had an incredible experience with White and Sable from our very first meeting all the way through to our wedding day! The team was not only warm and welcoming but also exceptionally knowledgeable and organized.”

-Lauren

“The owners are the nicest, down to earth people.”

-Jacob

These testimonies are just a small glimpse of the impact Landon and Angela are making, not just creating beautiful weddings, but truly honoring the marriages behind them.

There was certainly a time when I wished this venue existed closer to the mountains, but now I can’t imagine it anywhere else. The Twin Cities have been blessed by what Landon and Angela have created and if you're one of the lucky couples (or want to be one) getting married here, you’ll see it too.

With love,
