Sundays are the New Fridays

Five Reasons Why White & Sable Makes the Ideal Sunday Wedding Venue

Lexi here. Part-time White & Sable assistant, and as luck would have it, full-time English nerd who loves to write. I also happen to be Landon’s (W&S owner) sister who begged to be a part of the business. One of my favorite parts of our first few months hosting events at White & Sable has been the sweet Sunday weddings. There’s something extra meaningful about them, feeling relaxed, joyful, and intentional. I’ve seen firsthand how Sundays can be the perfect choice for your big day. If you’re still in the early stages of planning, here’s the top five reasons why White & Sable makes an ideal Sunday wedding venue:

1. More Availability & Flexibility on Sundays

I’m often the first one to see your date request when you inquire, and I’m always amazed at how quickly Fridays and Saturdays are booked, sometimes more than a year in advance! Choosing a Sunday opens up so many more options, especially during peak seasons. That means more flexibility to choose the time of year that feels right for you, even if you’re planning in a shorter time.

2. Sundays Open Vendor Opportunities

Top vendors, especially photographers, caterers, and DJs, book quickly for Fridays and Saturdays, especially in the summer. When you opt for a Sunday wedding, you have a much better chance of working with your first-choice team. It takes the stress out of planning and increases your chances of securing your dream vendor lineup.

3. Significant Cost Savings

We (and many of our vendor friends) offer lower rates for Sunday weddings than for Saturdays. It’s a simple way to stay on budget without compromising style or quality. The money you save could go toward your honeymoon, a live band, upgraded florals, or that dreamy custom gown you thought you might have to skip.

4. A Full Weekend Experience for Everyone

With a Sunday wedding, you can turn your celebration into a full-weekend experience. Host a welcome party Friday night, enjoy a relaxed Saturday with a golf outing, spa day, or bridal brunch, and then end the weekend on a high note with your ceremony and reception on Sunday. It’s perfect for out-of-town guests and creates more time for connection and memories. You’ll start your honeymoon or married bliss first thing Monday morning!

5. Sundays Naturally Feel More Relaxed and Intimate

There’s something different about a Sunday wedding; it feels so much more peaceful and present. The whole day tends to move at a slower, more intentional pace. Couples often tell us they feel less rushed and more in the moment. Your guests will notice it too.

FAQs about Sunday Weddings

Do your hours change for Sunday Weddings?

Nope! Our standard rental period (11:30AM-12:30AM) does not change for Sundays, so you have all-day access just like any Friday or Saturday wedding. If you’re interested in shifting the rental period to start earlier in the day, that’s a lovely option for a Sunday celebration.

Do we have to use an in-house caterer?

Your caterer is up to you! If you want to bring in something less traditional like a brunch buffet, go for it! We do have an exclusive bar contract with LiquidMotion, but they have loads of different ideas and packages, even for mocktails!

Can you recommend area activities in the area for our wedding party and guests?

Yes! Owners, Landon and Angela, have been Twin Cities residents for years, both with a special eye for fun and good food. We’d love to help you with suggestions for the celebrations leading up to your Sunday ceremony!
